For this presentation we are using Protégé Version 5.2.0 (the latest version at the time of this writing)
We hope that you have downloaded the Protégé software
The 5.2.0 version does not require installation but only unzip it and run the executable file
The version comes with a copy of Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
As these are simple steps so we will not go in this detail
Active Ontology Tab
When the Protégé software is opened for the first time the Active Ontology tab will be opened by default
Here we can specify the Ontology IRI
This IRI helps in avoiding naming collisions
Ontology IRI
In the Active Ontology tab we will specify some useful string in the Ontology IRI field
This IRI will be appended with every class and property of the ontology
